Geekerific ASCII Curtains

ASCII art is still around, though not as popular is it was back in the day. I grew up with the early incarnations of DOS, so ASCII was in its prime back when I was a kid. Had we the Internet been around then, I think ASCII art would have become more mainstream. Still, there is a resurgent following, which is evidenced in creations like these ASCII curtains. From a distance the image looks like a shadow of a large tree. As you approach, the characters reveal themselves; pretty clever. I would so get myself a set of ASCII curtains if they were available. They are just the thing for my home office.

The man behind these delightful curtains is Dutch artist and designer Nieke Sybrandy, I have to say it is a bang up job. These curtains smack of genius from top to bottom. They are geeky yet classy and that is what we like to see.

There is no price on the curtains as they are not yet in production, we will keep our eyes peeled for developments.

Real Homer Simpson is as Creepy as Real Mario

Some of you might have seen the incredibly realistic looking Mario floating around on the World Wide Web not so long ago. The picture came to us courtesy of a site called Pixeloo. The same people that brought us Mario have now given us a photorealistic Homer J. Simpson. He has quite a creepy looking mug don't you think?
